Shelley K. Sons Beaulieu, formerly of Terre Haute died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, of cancer. She was born Nov. 22, 1977, in Terre Haute to Nancy and Alfred Sons.
Survivors include her children, Justin Beaulieu, Kylea Beaulieu and MacKenzie Beaulieu and her husband, Keith of Dundein, Fla.; her parents of Terre Haute; her brothers, Rodney Sons and Troy Sons; nephews Wade and Isaiah Sons, of Terre Haute; grandparents, William and Patricia Stewart of Terre Haute; several aunts, uncles and cousins of Terre Haute, Indianapolis and Appleton Wis. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alfred and Pauline Sons.
She grew up and lived in Terre Haute until age 19, when she joined the Air Force. She graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 1996, where she enjoyed cheerleading and competed in the NCAA competition with other members of the squad where they placed 9th and at Paramount King’s Island competition for several years.
She spent nine years serving her country, six of which were at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., and the remaining three of which were spent at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. During her service she was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with three oak leaf clusters, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Services are 7 p.m. Thursday in Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Additional visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in DeBaun Springhill Drive in Terre Haute, with services at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial is in New Harmony Cemetery
