"MRS. THOMAS OWENS DIED AT HOSPITAL

"Mrs. Jeanette Baker Owens died last Friday in Margaret-Mary Hospital fifteen days after her eightieth birthday. Funeral service was held from the residence on Fifth Street, Monday afternoon with her pastor, Rev. Roscoe Wallington officiating, assisted by Rev. Warren G. Smith, Evangelical minister. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery with Stier & William in charge of arrangements.

"Mrs. Owens, daughter of James and Anzia Baker was born in Wilmington, Dearborn County, March 20, 1866. She was 16 years of age when the family moved to Aurora and has since resided here. On December 10, 1888 she was married to William Clarke at Lawrenceburg. To this union, two children were born, Louis E. and Ada Mae. On February 4, 1905, she was married to Thomas D. Owens. They have one daughter, Anzia, wife of Willard Meyers.

"Mrs. Owens united with the Presbyterian Church at Wilmington at an early age and remained faithful to her belief. She was a devoted and faithful companion and mother and an unselfish neighbor.

"She leaves to mourn their loss, the widower, Thomas D. Owens; her children, Mrs. Ada Owens, Mrs. Anzia Meyers, and one son, Louis Clarke; eleven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren."
