Mrs. Violet Moore, 60, of Route 3, Waynesboro, died last night at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. She was born June 24, 1926, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Gasper and Carrie Fisher Brown.
Mrs. Moore retired in 1979 from the District
Home after more than 18 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, William H. Moore; two daughters, Mrs. Jessie W. (Sharon Elaine) Marshall of Waynesboro and Mrs. Charles A. ( Anita Kay) Breithaupt of Charlottesville, eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two bothers Cleveland H. Brown and Dewey Brown.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of McDow Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Cline.
Burial will be in Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Donnie Brown, Jimmy Brown, Pete Brown, Petey Brown, Donnie Fisher, Owen Fisher, George Fisher and Sam Moore.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and requests that there be no memorials.
