He was born in Hagerstown, the son of Charles and Catherine James Kershner.
He had served with the U.S. Army during World War Ii, and had been employed at South End Tavern.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Jones Kershner; sons, Milton, Charles, Larry, and William, all of Hagerstown; and Ronnie Kershner, Rockville, Md; daughter, Mrs. Betty Black, Hagerstown; sisters, Mrs. Mary Dahlhamer, Hagerstown; and Mrs. Ruth Wilson, Butler, Pa; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be conducted Monday at 2 pm at Minnich Funeral Home by the Rev Raymond H Kettel. Burial will be in River View Cemetery, Williamsport.
