Mrs. Nell Craig, a Wellington resident 5 years, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, January 30, a short time after she was stricken as she left a downtown business. Mrs. Craig was 85 years of age.
Mrs. Craig was born April 9, 1901 in Eldorado, OK, the daughter of John DePauw and Liza Kinder DePauw. She came here from Oklahoma City, where she had lived for more than 50 years. As a young woman, about the time of World War I, she was employed as a telegraph operator in Oklahoma City.
She married John W. Craig October 25, 1924 in Oklahoma City. He died in 1971.
Mrs. Craig was a member of the Church of Christ.
survivors are one sister, Mrs. Mary Lena Scott of Wellington, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
