Bamberg, SC, June 28 [1930] -- Mrs Miranda R Patrick Brickle, 84 years of age, died here this morning at the home of her son, J Buist Brickle, following an illness of many months. The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon and interment will follow in the Restland cemtery.
Mrs Brickle was born in Bamberg November 12, 1844, the daughter of the late G Y Patrick, and was probably the oldest native white resident of the town. In early life she married V V Brickle, who preceded her to the grave many years ago. Mrs Brickle enjoyed splendid health until some months ago.
Surviving her are the following children: George A Brickle, Greenville; Mrs W A Porter, Williston; John F Brickle, Augusta; Mrs M B Kennedy, Govan; and J Buist Brickle, Bamberg.
Mrs Brickle was a devoted member of the Bamberg Baptist church, of which her husband was a charter member. She enjoyed the friendship and esteem of a large circle of friends throughout this section of the state.
