Edwin G. Grant, Sr., 88, formerly of Ancona, and most recently a resident of Asta Care Center in Pontiac, died at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 1999, at Asta. He was born Sept. 14, 1910 in English, Ind, son of William Curtis and Cora (Hanselman) Grant.
He attended school in Long Point, IL and then worked at Flint Implement Company in Streator as a machine operator for 25 years until he retired. He then drove school bus for Woodland Unit District.
He was married to Marjorie Elizabeth Jenkins in Long Point on Jan. 8, 1936.
Edwin belonged to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Pontiac. Memorials may be directed there.

Having gone before him were his parents, one sister, one brother and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at noon Monday, with services at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Pontiac. Burial is in Long Point Cemetery.
