9 Nov 1934 - Page 6 - It is with unfeigned sorrow we announce the: "home going" of Bro. Ashley Lewis Salter on July 17, 1934.

Bro. Salter was laid to rest in the Zwolle cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, July 18, 1934. religious services were conducted by Rev. J. H. Ricks, pastor of the Peason Baptist church, Peason, La., of which Bro. Salter was a member. This services was followed by the impressive Masonic ceremonies, conducted by Kisatchie Lodge 156, of which our Brother was a member.

Bro. Salter was born near Negreet, La. on April 5, 1872, a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Salter. He first married Miss Fannie Simpson. One daughter living by this marriage, Mrs. T. E Bullard of Belmont, La. A second marriage to Miss Flora Simpson, no children living by this marriage. He married a third time to Miss Emma Elizabeth Errington on December 22, 1901, who survives. By this marriage two sons, M. C. and M. J. Salter, of Kurthwood, La. He was a most devoted father and faithful husband.

He received the Master Mason Degree in Kisatchie Lodge No. 156 September 17, 1921, and was a devoted member until his
death.

His presence will be sadly missed by all his brethren
