Mrs. Kerby was born Sept. 1, 1922, in Huntington, Ind., to Velma and Joseph H. Dow Sr.
She was a graduate of Danville High School and a member of Central Christian Church. She was employed at Sears and Roebuck Company after World War II, where she met her husband, Robert B. Kerby. After years as a housewife, she returned to work at Meis Department Store, where she was employed for several years until retirement.
Mrs. Kerby is survived by a daughter Kathy Kerby of Elmhurst, Ill.; a son Kane (Bertha) Kerby of Bryant, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Adam (Heather ) Kerby, Jacob (Bethanei) Kerby, Katherine (Ernest Mennecke) Kerby, Spencer Kinney, Gillian Kinney, Drake Kinney and Wade Kinney; five great-grandchildren, Camden, Cooper, Harbor, Mollie and Thatcher Kerby; and two sisters, Lois Long and Wannah Lamar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of nearly 51 years, Robert B. Kerby; a daughter, Karen Kerby Kinney; a twin son, Briane Kerby; and a brother Joseph H. Dow Jr.
Mrs. Kerby was proud of her large family and she will be missed by them greatly.
