Mr. Frederick William Fogg, Jr. Bill passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at his home surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Glenice D. Fogg who passed away on May 30, 2014. Bill was born on July 13, 1927 in Gainesville, FL to the late F.W. Fogg, Sr. and Laura Jones Fogg. Later he moved to Georgia. He received his Bachelors degree in Chemistry and Math from Valdosta State where he was blessed to meet his love and future wife. Bill and Glenice eventually made their home in Atlantic Beach and then in 1987 moved to Neptune Beach. Bill served his country in the U.S. Navy and he served his fellow beach residences by being elected City Commissioner. Bill worked for Merrill Nation Drug Company for many years where he was honored many times for his outstanding salesmanship. Bill and Glenice opened in Southeastern Medequip, Inc. of Jacksonville Beach in 1973. He loved watching the business grow and was deeply proud of the company being named one of the top 500 businesses by Inc. Magazine. Bill was a founding member of Selva Marina Country Club. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club. Bill loved the Lord and was also a founding member and Elder at the First Christian Church of the Beaches. Bill and Glenice also enjoyed owning the Fogg Blueberry Farm located in Homerville, GA. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, F.W. (Bill) Fogg III and Betsy Fogg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri and Bill Parkinson and Laura and Steve Taylor; grandchildren, Katie Fogg, Sarah Fogg, F.W. (Will) Fogg IV, Britt Dehgan, Peyton Taylor, Will Parkinson, and Chris Taylor. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Willena and Bill Crewe; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George Ray and Judy Daugharty, plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bill was also preceded in death by his sister, Olive Scott. Funeral services for Mr. Fogg will be held at the First Christian Church of the Beaches, 2125 Ocean Front, Neptune Beach, FL 32266, on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held at the Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery, Antioch Church Rd, Homerville, GA later that afternoon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church of the Beaches or the Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery Fund. Services under the direction and care of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home.
