SHIRLEY A. (PADGETT) LUCAS 76, OF BETHEL ACRES
Shirley A. (Padgett) Lucas, 76, of Bethel Acres, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at a local hospital.

She was born July 21, 1938, in Shawnee, the daughter of Louie "Peanut" and Mary Padgett. On March 26, 1955, she married Roy Lucas Sr. in Shawnee.

She was a homemaker most of her life although she owned a craft store in downtown Shawnee in her later years. Shirley was an avid genealogist, a very creative woman who could sew and crochet anything and was a Den Mother for troops 410 and 423.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie "Peanut" Padgett and Mary Padgett; sister: Evelyn Little; daughter-in-law: Roberta Lucas; brother-in-law: Robert Lucas, Clarence Lucas, Earl Lucas, Hardie Little, Clifford Hubbard; nephew: Clifford Lee Hubbard.

Survivors include husband, Roy Lucas, of the home; three children, Dr. Roy Lucas Jr. of Pineville, Kentucky, Larry and Nancy Lucas of Shawnee, and Danny and Judy Martin of Shawnee; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louise Hubbard and Pat Huckabay and husband, Bill.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 16, at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. BUrial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
