Tillman Waters, 78, died Wednesday, May 24, at his residence in Franklin. Born September 8 1921 in Williamson County, Mr. Waters was a self-employed painter, former member of the Franklin Beagle Club and member of Peytonsville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Mary Virginia (Jenny) Waters; a brother, Elmo Waters of Franklin; sisters, Irene Clark of Franklin and Johnnie Mai Booker of Carthage; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 26, at 3 p.m., at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Bobby Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Waters, Roger Lemay, John Geny, Keith McDowell, Bobby Street, Rodney Billingsley, Jeff Billingsley and David England. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Merritt, Joe Waddell, Jimmy Parnell, Horace Hughes, Billy Knight, Dr. William Ewers, Earl Wray, Jack Goins, Dr. Eugene Wolcott, Stuart Wolcott, Ray Danner and George Ross. Williamson Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
