Archie L. Black Sr., age 75, passed away suddenly, due to a brief illness Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Hospice Of Northwest Ohio. He was born January 11, 1938, to Earnest Black and Alice Hobson in Como, MS.
Archie served in the U.S. Army and worked as a welder at Doehler-Jarvis, until his retirement. Archie is survived by his wife, Carolyn Black; sons, Archie Black Jr., Larry Black and Dennis Black; daughter, Alice (Richard) Duck; stepsons, Milton Reddick and Charles Jones; stepdaughters, Denise Robinson, Darlene Jones, and Gwendolyn Shade; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services are Monday, July 15, 2013, 12:00 p.m. at The House of Day Funeral Services preceded by 11:00 a.m. wake. Visitation is Sunday 3:00-5:00 p.m. also at The House of Day.
