Henry Barb married second 1 Jan 1811 Shenandoah County, Virginia, Catherine (Poke) Miller, widow of Philip Jacob Miller and daughter of Adam and Barbara Poke. Catherine was the sister of Anna Poke [x2] and Elsa Catherine Poke [x3]. Catherine Barb died 23 Mar 1821 Mt. Clifton, Virginia. Henry Barb "had blue eves, reddish brown hair, rosy complexion." Mary Winegardner Barb "was tall and slim; very delicate. (20) They lived Loudoun County, Virginia (P.O. Leesburg) and Mill Creek, Shenandoah County, Virginia (P.O. Woodstock). (20)
Death
Henry Barb died 24 Aug 1819 in Shenandoah County, Virginia and is buried at the Solomon Lutheran Church Cemetery., Forestville, Shenandoah County, Virginia. (20) Henry Barb's funeral was performed by the Rev. Johann Nicholas Schmucker. The service was attended by four of his children, the other four having moved west within the preceding three years. Henry Barb's will was probated 13 Sept 1819 in Shenandoah County, Virginia court. At the sale of his father's inventory on 24 Sept. 1819, Henry Barb Jr., bought two bibles (one in German script and one in English), and one hymn book. (20)
