Mr. Alfred Tharold “Bud” Keith, 53, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at his residence, after a brief illness.

Bud entered this life on February 7, 1961 in Neosho, Missouri, one of two sons born to Alfred F. “Bud” and Carolyn Sue (Harris) Keith. He was raised in Anderson, Missouri and was a 1979 graduate of McDonald County High School. On April 19, 1981, he was united in marriage to Kathy Leas and to this union two daughters and one son were born. They resided in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joplin, Missouri and Rogers, Arkansas, before returning home to Anderson in 1998. He began his career with FEMA after the 2011 Joplin Tornado and was currently serving as a jobsite supervisor. He also helped his father in the family construction business. He enjoyed reading, hunting and archery and was an avid gun and knife collector. Bud was a member of Victory Road Church near Anderson.

Bud is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Kathy Keith of the home; two daughters, Kylie Hunt and husband, Sean, of Lanagan, Missouri and Olivia Writer and husband, Anthony, of Berryville, Arkansas; a son, Levi Seth Keith of the home; his parents, Bud and Sue Keith of Anderson; a brother, Randy Keith and wife, Melissa, also of Anderson; as well as a host of other family and numerous friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Keith are 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at Victory Road Church with Pastors Roland and Ted Keith officiating. Burial will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Randy Keith, Den Keith, Brandon Keith, Whitley Nipp, Rich Keith and Moni Keith. David Lee Keith, Larry Davis, Josh Baser, Gene Woods, Brent Leas and Rob Chubb will be serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers memorials are being directed to the Victory Road Christian Academy and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
