Rosa Gallo was the daughter of Manuele Gallo and Carolina Cardiello. She married Salvatore Vignato after immigrating to the United States, and the couple moved from New York City to Suffolk County where they purchased last in East Patchogue south of the Long Island Railroad.

She died 7 May 1943 in East Patchogue. Her obituary read, "Mrs. Rose Vignato, aged 67, died early Friday morning at her home on Hedges road, East Patchogue. She is survived by her husband Salvatore, 6 sons, 4 daughters and 2 brothers."

Brothers Francesco Gallo and Raffaelo Gallo are buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.
