Alma M. Orwan, 87, Harrisburg, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in Holy Spirit Hospital. She was born November 4, 1918 in Penbrook, PA, son [sic] of the late George and Mary E. Jones Shuey. She was a member of St. Thomas United Church of Christ, Linglestown and received a Living Heritage Award from the church for her service to the congregation, the leadership she offered and the witness of her faith. She was also a member of Linglestown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Grantville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and TOPS. Surviving are her husband, Abraham W. Orwan; a son, Jay W. Miller of Harrisburg; a step-son, Dennis L. Orwan of Dauphin; a step-daughter, Diane M. Koppenheffer of Wellsboro; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Monday, February 27, at St. Thomas United Church of Christ. Interment in Shoop's Garden of Rest. [Harrisburg Patriot-News]
