Doris Ilene Stone Blair (Aunt Ilene, to me) was 1 of 10 children and was my Mama's sister. She lived with us when I was little, back in the late 40s/early 50s and was like a second mama to me and my two older sisters.

I always spent my entire summer vacation at her house and while there, we would go camping for several weeks at a time. Aunt Ilene would almost clear out her kitchen of pots and pans to take camping because she would cook over the camp stove just like she cooked at home. I remember her even making popcorn balls one time. I've said many times "Now that I'm the adult, I'm not going camping because I'm not doing as much work as Aunt Ilene did when we were little".

She had her rules, but she was kind and had patience with us.
I know when I became a mom I had more patience with my kids because I remembered back to her and knew that was how I was supposed to be.

Aunt Ilene is survived by 2 children:
Alvin Clay Blair who has 2 children, Kevin & Kelly
Patricia Ilene Blair Bolen who has 2 children J.R. & Ashley
