Kinards - Joseph “Joe” Wesson, 90, formerly of Kinards, SC, died Friday, August 8, 2014 at White Oak Manor, Newberry. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Bush River Baptist Church, by the Rev. Brian Preston. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born on July 25, 1924 in Newberry, he was a son of the late Charles Roland Wesson and Virgin Manley Wesson Riddle. He was a member of Bush River Baptist Church. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Lou Copeland of Laurens, Almedia Timmerman of Williston, Carrie Lee Mahoney of Palm Desert, CA and Ann Muzzaca of Las Vegas, NV; and his brother, Tom Longshore of Prosperity. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his step-father, J.R. Longshore, Sr. and his siblings, Charlie Wesson, Rob Wesson, Connie Sloan, Mamie Rinehart, Mary Crouch, J.R. Longshore, Ralph Longshore and Frances Longshore. Honorary pallbearers will be his friends at the Newberry County Disabilities and Special Needs. The family suggests memorials be made to Ruth S.
