AGE: 84 • Naples, FLMable M. Baker, age 84, of Naples, FL and formerly of New Castle, DE, passed peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2016.

Born in Virginia on October 25, 1931, Mrs. Baker was a daughter of the late Jessie J. and Alice M. Snell. In addition to raising her family, she worked for a number of years in the kitchens of the University of Delaware.

Mrs. Baker was an avid gardener who delighted in creating delicious meals using her home-grown vegetables and fruits. She enjoyed completing word searches in her leisure time.

Above all else, Mrs. Baker was happiest in the company of her beloved family whom she adored.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doll Baker.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her children, Virginia "Ginny" Riley (Serge) of Naples, FL and Doll Baker, Jr. (Julie) of Ocklawaha, FL; sisters, Betty Stallard, Eva Rineer, Irene White, Marie Jaques and Shelby Cody, grandchildren, Cindy Metts, Adam Schreckengost and Kristi Baker; and 5 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday morning, April 12, 2016, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
