Sarah Rebecca Baker Allman was the daughter of John Franklin and Jincy Whitehurst Baker. Both the Baker and Whitehurst families were among the first settlers to the Brooksville, FL area. She married Charles Stephen Allman (1857-1925) and together they had seven children: S. Lorena; Susan Elizabeth; Unity Alvira; Jincey A.; John Edgar; Infant and Charles Addison Allman. Her obituary read: Born Hale Place (McKeathen Hill) died at home of heart attack; member of Methodist Church; survived by 4 of 7 children: Mrs. R.B. Grubbs; C.A. Allman; J.E. Allman all of Brooksville and Mrs. R.T. Edge of Lakeland; two sisters Mrs. C.A. Pratt of Zephyrhills; Mrs. R.B. Jones of Wauchula; three brothers J.D. Baker; W.J. Baker of Floral City and C.W. Baker of Wauchula.
