He was retired forklift operator from General Electric, a member of Masonic Lodge formerly 147 and longtime member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Leamon Milam Shepherd; son, Elbert Shepherd (Mary); daughters, Lois Caswell (Kermit) and Karen Koufeldt (Bob); sisters, Fay Edwards, Jackie Lee and Patsy McGaha; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday J.B. Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 2114 W. Market St., with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Monday, 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
