Otto Wyman Brown, 77, a Wayne County native, died at his home in Mt. Carmel, Wednesday, Dec 18, 1996, following an extended illness. Mr. Brown worked at Airtex Products for many years and lived in Sims until a year and a half ago when he moved to Mt. Carmel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Mt. Carmel Church of Christ with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery near Wayne City. Visitation at Cunningham Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Brown was born at Sims Sept 27, 1919, the son of Alva and Virdie HULLETT Brown. He was first married to Betty Thomason, who preceded him in death, as did his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Brown was a member of the Mt. Carmel Church of Christ and was a World War II U. S. Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Omer Lee Brown; three sons, Alfred, Of Fairmont, IND.; Darrell, of Caseyville, and Kyle Brown, of Apex, N. C.; one daughter, Elaine Feather, of Sarasota, Fla.; step-children, Lora Cunningham, and Marshall Thomason, both of the Mt. Carmel area; and Norita Cox, Alton; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Brown; and three sisters, Pauline Harris, and Carmi; Bessie Bassett and Leona Dunn, both of Mill Shoals area.
