Death of an Aged Lady —Mrs. Mary M. Maus, wife of Mr. Isaac R. Maus, died at their residence, in this town, on Tuesday last, aged 86 years. Years ago the deceased came to this county from Pennsylvania with her husband, and together they have resided here continuously. Here at her adopted home she had made many friends through her lovely character. Her signal devotion as wife and mother is marked in this fickle age. In the one instance from her 67 years of happy marital life, whose comfort she is now rounding out his 92nd year; and in the other, the tender care reciprocated by her children during the seven years of her helpless invalidity for motherly love. Besides her husband, the following children survive her: Major L. Mervin Maus, United States Army; Col. M. Perry Maus, United States Army; Oliver S. Maus, of Georgetown, D.C. ; Mrs. Bennett, of Spencerville; Mrs. Elizabeth Spencer, Mrs. Jas. F. Allen and Miss Adele Maus, of this town.
