Mr. Burdette was Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troops 4 and 306 and Explorer Ship 364. He was a ham radio operator and member of the Quarter Century Wireless Club, member of the Huntsville Concert Band, a World War II veteran and a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League.
Survivors include his wife, Annette N. Burdette; one son, Doug Burdette of Huntsville; two daughters, Patsy Wear of Fort Payne and Pamela Asa of Memphis; one brother, Ernest L. Burdette of Montrose; and one sister, Dorothy Walsh of Birmingham.

Lewis H. Burdette, 77, of Huntsville died Thursday at his residence. A graveside service was Saturday at Twickenham Memory Gardens with Rev. Dorothy Ann Webster officiating.
