Catherine Ashcraft, 64, wife of Thomas Ashcraft, died of dropsy Sept. 16th at his* home in Randolph Co. She was the daughter of the Rev. Ephraim Abel and was born 5/28/1787 in Orange Co., Va. She married first William Stigler on 12/24/1805 and was baptized by her father in 1806. Her husband died in 1813 and was survived by 3 children. She married Mr. Ashcraft 3/15/1815.
