"Martha E. Mohon was born in Lunenburg Co. VA about 1832. She died 26 October 1895 at 63 years of age. Martha was buried in Muhlenberg county,KY in McPhearson Cemetery. She married Yancy Fleming Clardy in Wilson County, TN, Nov 14, 1849. Fleming was born in TN, May 22 1830. He was the son of William Clardy and Jane Blackwell. Fleming died May 22,1883 at age53. He was buried in Muhlenberg Co, KY, McPhearson Cemetery.
The 1850 Census reported this couple was married in the preceding year. They then lived in Smith County, TN, on the north side of the Cumberland River, They were listed in widow Elizabeth Blackwell's household, where Fleming was a farmer. Elizabeth Blackwell was likey a relative of Fleming Clardy, possibly his maternal grandmother. In 1860 the family of Fleming and Martha, including five children was living in Lockporte, in District 6 of Wilson County. In 1850, Late in 1869 or early 1870, Fleming and Martha moved thei rfamily to Muhlenberg Co. KY where they recorded in the 1870 census, Six children were living with their parents in 1880, which was 3 years before their fathers death."
