BESSEMER CITY — Eloise Alexander Witherspoon, 80, of 546 St. Mark's Church Road, died May 6, 2005, at Alexandria Place, Gastonia.
She was born Jan. 9, 1925, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Julius Pender and Hattie Costner Alexander.
INTERMENT: Church cemetery
Mrs. Witherspoon was a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and member of the Willing Workers SS Class.
SURVIVORS: Four children, two grandchildren, brother, two sisters.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, her husband, J.R. Witherspoon, in 1996; a brother, Mack Alexander
