Jonathan Hunter-Kilmer, 55, died peacefully in his home Nov. 29, 2013.

He was born on May 17, 1958, in Washington, D.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Kenton Sinclair and Frances Frieseke Kilmer; aunt, Sister Michael Kilmer; uncle, Bert (Kip) Kilmer; father-in-law, Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Albert E. Hunter; brothers-in-law, Arthur Spring and Tom Hunter; and nephew, Jeffrey Foster Slattery.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Anne Hunter-Kilmer; sons and daughters: Patrick (Leigh Ann) Hopkins, and daughter, Charlotte Ann; Meg Hunter-Kilmer; Rosie (Andrew) Hill, and son, John Paul, and daughters, Cecilia Therese, Mary Claire and Elizabeth Anna; and Timmy Hunter-Kilmer; and mother-in-law, Nancy Stookey Hunter.

He is also survived by nine brothers and sisters and their spouses; a half brother; a brother- and two sisters-in-law; several cousins, all of their children and grandchildren, and many friends.

Funeral Mass and inurnment will be held at Saint Mark Catholic Church, in Vienna, Va., at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

A memorial Mass will follow at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harrisonburg, Va., at a date and time to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to Heifer Project International.
