Dewey M. Abney, 81, Indianapolis, a retired machine operator, died Wednesday in Community Hospital. He had worked 29 years for Standard Brands Inc., retiring in 1968. A native of Kentucky, he had lived here 48 years. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Farley Mann Road Chapel, where friends may call after 6 p.m. today. Survivors include his wife, Nettie Abney; four daughters, Grace York, Kathleen Huliston, Maxine Long and Jeneva Parker; a son, Pete Abney and five stepdaughters, Hazel Haney, Doris Eubanks, Nelda Davis, Joyce Ricards and Mary Dart.
