Agnes I. Thoman's Obituary:
Rochester: Agnes I. Brownfield Thoman, 93, of Rochester, passed away at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski: Sunday June 16, 2013.
Agnes was born Aug. 7, 1919, in Illiopolis, the daughter of Roland T. and Lela P. (Dale) Brownfield. She married John Thoman Mar.23, 1940. He preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1978.
Agnes worked at Ill. Bell Telephone Company, Horace Mann Insurance Co., Sears Robuck and Co., the Village of Rochester, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rochester United Methodist Church.
Agnes was preceded in death by two daughters, Judith Krimmel and Janice Phares; a grandson, Nicholas Lyons; three sisters, Wilma Haywood, Mardella King, and Zelia Bales; and two brothers Thomas and David Brownfield. She is survived by her daughter Sheryl (Alvin) Robins of Duluth, MN; a sister Betty Ward of Springfield; two son-in-laws, Robert Krimmel of Decatur and George Phares of Edinburg; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thurs. June 20 at 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Reverend Kathy Sweet and Reverend Cathy McCafferthy will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park Springfield. Memorials may be made to the Rochester United Church.

Agnes' sister Mardella King was born Feb. 17, 1916 and passed away Apr. 28, 1993 in Sangamon Co., Ill. Wilma Ruth married Archie A. Haywood who is FAG #7080751. Wilma was b. June 30, 1912 in Ill. and died Feb. 17, 2004 in Springfield, Ill. Wilma and Archie had a daughter Jessica Kay b. Oct. 8, 1941 d. Oct. 9, 1941 and buried in Foundu Lac Cemetery. Betty Ward is 90 and still living as of this writing. David is unfound as yet.
