Edward "Ed" William Carroll, 83, of Cortland, passed away August 5, 2014 at his home with family by his side.
Ed was born March 3, 1931 in Walland, TN, son of Frank and Beulah (Flynn) Carroll.
He was a veteran of the US Army, and was retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment. After retirement he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandson, and traveling home to Tennessee, where he liked to camp.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jenith (Bruss) Carroll; daughter, Carol (Richard) Reed of Kinsman; grandson Richie Reed, two great grandchildren, Nathan and Paxton all of Niles; sister, Sara Lou Graves; two brothers, Glenn and James Carroll and niece, Debbie Kuch.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Kenneth and Ronald Carroll.
