Evelyn McClintock age 85 of Wauchula passed away, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in Lakeland. She was born August 14, 1928 in Wauchula. Evelyn was raised in Hardee County till she was fifteen years old and then got married and traveled with her first husband working with the circus and in 2008 returning to her childhood hometown in Hardee County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bowling Green.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband William McClintock; sons, Edward Leon Wood, Ronald Frank Wood and James Milton McClintock. Evelyn is survived by two sons Daniel Smoot-Wood and wife Patricia of Hanover, MD., Donald Bruce Wood of Big Springs, TX.; one brother Joe Durance of Arcadia; three sisters Ethel Earnest and husband Donald of Zolfo Springs, Lillian Pennington of Sarasota, Sara Hamilton of Fort Myers; ten grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren.

Burial will be 2:00 pm Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in New Port Richey.
