Services for Claude M. Hale, 92, of Shelbyville, Texas were held at 2 p.m. Wed., Nov. 16, 2005 at Watson and Sons Chapel in Center with Calvin Hancock, Bro. Richard Lum and Bro. Billy Windham officiating. Interment followed at Dunnigan Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Mr. Hale died Nov. 14, 2005 in San Augustine. He was born July 25, 1913 in Searcy County, Arkansas to Charlie H. Hale and Janie Winds Hale.

He served in the United States Army in World War II. He was a member of Plum Grove Assembly of God Church in Cleveland. He worked as a railroad switchman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson James Royce Risinger.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Letha Mae Hale of Shelbyville; daughters Betty Risinger and husband Robert of Shelbyville, Charlene Sue Hale of Splendora, Donna Hale of Cleveland; sons James Richard Hale and wife Barbara of Shelbyville, Bobby Hale of Splendora; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Corey Holloway, John Trump, Christopher Oxner, Michael Powell, Richard Oxner and Terry Powell.

Services were under the direction of Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center.
