Dorothy Nellie Allison, age 88, of Clarksburg, departed this life, at her residence, on September 12, 2011 following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg, on February 10, 1923 a daughter of the late Doy Glenn and Sarah Margaret Bragg Barker. Mrs. Allison was preceded in death by her husband Charles William Allison in 1970. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Stires and his wife Becky of Clarksburg, William Daniel Allison and his companion Mary Jane of Nutter Fort; her three loving daughters, Karen Scarcelli and her husband Frank of Clarksburg, Paget Allison of Clarksburg and Irene "Jackie" Allison of Clarksburg. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jeffrey Stires, Julie Empey and Allison Debusca and six great grandchildren, Destiny Arnett, Cameron Stires, Brandon Stires, A.J. Empey, Madison Empey and Cameron Debusca. Mrs. Allison also leaves behind two brothers, Paul Barker and his wife Barbara of Jane Lew and Eugene Barker and his wife Thelma of Reynoldsville, as well as several nieces and nephews; and her caregiver, Judy Fry. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Loretta Barker. Dorothy was Baptist by faith and a graduate of Victory High School. She loved her family and enjoyed every moment spent with them. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was an avid WVU Mountaineer fan in both football and basketball and enjoyed playing bingo.
