Dorothy Faye Andrews, 89, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Villa Haven Nursing home. Graveside service with Gary Andrews officiating will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the Breckenridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
She was born December 4, 1924 in Breckenridge, Texas, one of four children born to A.L. (Link) Rodgers and Fannie Bell Lindsey Rodgers. Dorothy married Ray D. Andrews February 21, 1940, in Douglas Arizona. He preceded her in death November 29, 2013. She enjoyed fishing, reading, and trips to the casino. She worked many years for LTV and Westinghouse as an electronic assembler.
She is survived by her son Don Andrews, grandchildren Jan Begeman and husband, Steve; Gary Andrews and wife, Joan; Michael Andrews and wife, Kamessia; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and other extended family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Link and Fannie Rodgers; two brothers, Odell and Bob Rodgers; and one sister; Lois Rodgers Roberts.
