Nicholas is survived by his wife, Mary "Katie" Abeyta; son, Nicholas Anthony (Kathleen) from Antioch; and daughters, Mary Carmen Abeyta (Vallejo), Anita L. Abeyta (Redwood City) and Rita Abeyta-Torres (Miguel) from Sacramento. He was a loving grandfather to Ricardo Abeyta, Miguel Torres Jr., Rosana Abeyta-Torres, Deleane Ramirez and James Chris Prerez.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his parents, Higinio and Julia Abeyta (Vallejo); brothers, Vidal Abeyta (Vallejo), John Abeyta (Hayward), George Abeyta (Vallejo); and sister, Mariana Cordereo (Vallejo). He is survived by siblings, Mary Torres (Vallejo), Joe Abeyta (Vallejo), Cecilia Canapa (Napa), Jerry Abeyta (Napa), and Leo Abeyta (Vallejo).
