WINNSBORO — Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today for Mrs. Jane Simon Williams of Winnsboro, who died Tuesday at Caldwell Parish Hospital in Columbia after a long illness.

The Revs. Earl Gibson and A. L. News officiated at Boeuf River Baptist Church where she was a member, with burial in Ogden Cemetery under direction of First National Funeral Home here.

A native of Jackson Parish, Mrs. Williams had lived in Franklin Parish for the past 65 years.

Survivors include her husband, Otto H. Williams of Winnsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Fred W. "Dathene" Burt of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Smith and Mrs. Nancy Nugent, both of Winnsboro; three brothers, W. Ivy Simon, Monroe, [missing] Simon of Winnsboro, and Clarence Simon of Winnfield; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Robert Earl Williams, Glynn Williams, John R. Johnston, Ralph Ross, Milton Albritton, Albert Garcin, Barnard Simon and James Nugent.

Mrs. Williams was born to the union of William Marion Simon and Mary Ann Thompson, who married in Jackson Parish, LA on May 11, 1883. She married Otho H. Williams about 1919.
