Son of Elmore Eli Arnold and Winifred "Winnie" Ruth (Mott) Arnold. Great Uncle of J. Clark (Submitter). Married Abbie Starling in 1898 in Hamilton Co., FL. Occupation: Farmer. Charlie is a family enigma. The last documentation of his, Abbie and daughter, Ada's, existence is in 1918 when Charley is a witness at Ada's June 1918 marriage to Edward Wills in Citurs Co., FL. Charley, Abbie and Ada (Also known as Adie) seem to drop off the face of the earth. Their graves are rediscovered in Crystal River Cemetery in Citrus Co., FL in 2002 by J. Clark (Submitter). Unfortunately, the headstones have no dates on them. All cemetery records for the Crystal River Cemetery were destroyed by a hurricane in 1943. Family tradition relates that Charley died from moonshine poisoning. But no information is available on Abbie or Ada. A theory exists that Charley, Abbie and Ada all died from the 1918 Spanish Flu Pandemic. The Submitter is still investigating. The Bio will be updated as new facts are found.
As of this date, no known photograph of Charlie, Abbie or Adda has been found.
It is requested by the Submitter that anyone who has information on this family to please contact him.
