Mrs. Eunice Elizabeth Fikes Alexander, of Wynne, Arkansas departed this life Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center, Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of Eighty-one.
Mrs. Alexander was born January 22, 1924 at Vanndale, Arkansas, the daughter of Robert Lee and Delela Palmer Fikes. She married David (Chester) Alexander September 2, 1939 at Wynne, Arkansas.
She was a homemaker and member of the Levesque Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and caring for her cats.
Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, David (Chester) Alexander, Parents; Robert Lee and Delela Palmer Fikes, six brothers; Claude Fikes, Onnie Fikes, Farrell Fikes, Stanley Fikes, Orville ( T B) Fikes and Pete Fikes, one sister; Ora Sullins and one grandson, David Alexander.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by Four Sons; Kenneth Alexander and wife Brenda of Harrisburg, Arkanasas, Gary Alexander and wife Ann of Wynne, Arkansas, Walter ( Buck) Alexander and wife Shirley of Forrest City, Arkansas, Larry Alexander and wife Karen of Marseilles,Illinois, Four Daughters, Shirley Jones of Wynne, Arkansas, Brenda Hodges and husband Bud of Saltillo, Misissippi, Francis Montgomery of Wynne, Arkansas, Donna Popejoy and husband Edward of Newport, Arkansas. Two Sisters; Annie Mae Carter of Vanndale, Arkansas and Orphie Carter of Memphis, Tennessee. Seventeen Grandchildren and Thirty-six Great-Grandchildren.
