Rebecca, or Becky was my aunt, my mother's older sister. She was born and raised on the old Homestead Farm on Tolend Road in Dover, N.H., which still stands today. She was the daughter of George Stanley Pray and Vivian Frances Pray, nee Bradbury. She was the sister to Elizabeth (Betty) Tamson, Doris Helen, and Alice Abbie. Wife of Bertrand (Bert)Proulx, and mother to Denis, Barry, Peter and Paul Proulx. She was a nurse by trade, and graduated from the Wentworth School of Nursing, in Dover, N.H. After her marriage to Uncle Bert, she moved and lived out her life in Manchester, N.H. I always thought that she was wonderful, as she always "told it like it was", and there was never any doubt how she felt on any given subject. She quick to laugh, quick to love, and had a kind and sensitive heart.
She was a direct descendent of Hannah Dustin and a direct descendent of William and Mary Brewster, who came to America on the ship, The Mayflower.
I was so blessed to have her as my aunt.
