CLETIS FRANCES VANN, 88, of Duncan, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2006, in Duncan Regional Hospital.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Howard and Charles Stroud officiating. Interment will be in Duncan Cemetery.
Cletis was born March 11, 1917, in Bristow, the son of Daniel and Eliza Grimes Vann. He graduated from Olive (Okla.) High School. He and Charline Digby were married May 19, 1937, in Bristow.
He retired from Oak Grove School at Drumright as a bus driver and custodian.
He was devoted to his wife and family and loved them dearly.
Survivors include his wife, Charline Vann of the home in Duncan; two daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Tom York of Duncan, and Euyvonne and Joe Godfrey of Canyon, Texas; two granddaughters, Jill Nussbaum of Plano, Texas, and Angie Lindsey of Orlando, Fla.; two grandsons, Tim York of Duncan, and Jerry Godfrey of Canyon; two great-granddaughters, Maegan Godfrey and Ashley Godfrey, both of Canyon; three great-grandsons, Cody Lindsey and Dillon Lindsey, both of Orlando, and Christian York of Duncan; a sister, Bertiline Austin of Bristow; and a grandchild to be born in April.
