Mark F. Koch, 85, Marysville, died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln, NE.

Mark was born on a farm near Baileyville, on February 6, 1929 to Clem and Clementine (Fangman) Koch. He graduated from Baileyville High School in 1946. After graduation, Mark worked in St. Joseph, Missouri for Swift Meat Packing.

On November 15, 1952, Mark was united in marriage to Elda Rose Wilhelm. After marriage they moved to Beattie and farmed and milked cows for eight years. In the spring of 1961, they bought a farm and moved to Marysville. Mark continued to milk cattle until retiring from the dairy in 1994. Then he worked for Elm Street Apartments and Pony Run until November of 2012.

He was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Mark loved monitoring the crops, watching sports, playing cards, teasing and playing with the grandchildren, and visiting with family and friends. Mark was proud to be from a large family.

Survivors include his wife Elda Rose; two sons, Michael (Carole) Koch, White Bear Lake, MN, Randy (Tori) Koch, Olathe; three daughters, Gail (Jim) Johannes, Waterville, Jane Seematter, Marysville, Lori (Howard) Elliott, Hiawatha;brother, Joseph Koch, Baileyville; sister, Rita Haug, Seneca; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren plus one due in November.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Rock Koch, Regis Koch; and five sisters, Teresa Spiker, Eileen Rusche, Mary Olberding, Angela Roeder and Evelyn Rothenberger.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m.,Thursday, August 7 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church. Fr. Jim Shaughnessy will officiate. Burial will be in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery.
