Born in Colleton County, he was a son of the late James Poyas Marvin Sr and Emmeline Strobel Marvin. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of the SC Department of Highways and Public Transportation.
Surviving are sisters, Mrs L L Erwin and Mrs E E Linder of Walterboro; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3:30 pm today in Live Oak Cemetery.
