Eddie was a retired sheet metal worker for Die Craft, and Kimchuk, in Stamford. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the VFW Post 10112 - Cos Cob, and of the Holy Name A.C.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Tracey A Kenez, his son Jason E Bankowski, both of Norwalk, his brother Edward B Bankowski III and his wife Diane, of Stamford, his grandchildren; Kelly-Ann, R.J., Michael, and Skylar, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his father, Eddie was predeceased by his wife Sandra Lee Correa Bankowski.
Arrangements were handled by the Nutmeg State Cremation Society.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
