The private cryptside service for Paul Wood Simons, 83, of 8776 Rogue River Highway, Grants Pass, who died Sunday, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the South Acacia Court within Hillcest Memorial Park, North Phoenix Road, Medford. The Rev. Glen C. Fisk of First Baptist Church, Medford, will officiate with Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Central Point, in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Simons was born March 25, 1896, in Benton Harbor, Mich., the son of George B. and Katheryn Simons. On March 30, 1941, in Yuma, Ariz., he married the former Jean G. Guion, who survives.

Mr. Simons had lived in the Rogue Valley since 1962, moving here from San Diego. He had retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

He was a member of Drexel Masonic Lodge, AF&AM, Chicago, the Lions Club in Rogue River, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Simons served during World War I and World War II with the U.S. Navy.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Jean, include one brother, George Simons, San Diego, Calif.
