Emerenc "Emmy" Kujawa (nee Konwinski) was born in Toledo, OH, September 4, 1925, the daughter of Roman Peter Konwinski and Pelagia A "Pearl" Okonski. She died at age 83, Saturday May 30, 2009, at Heritage Manor in Findlay, Ohio where she had lived the last 7 years.

Her husband, Walter, was born Oct 8, 1921 in Ohio, the son of Anthony and Martha Kujawa. He died July 1985, age 63 of Vero Beach, FL.

Emmmy attended Edward Drummond Libbey High School. She was a wonderful Busia and homemaker. They spent the winters in Vero Beach, FL and visiting their Devil's Lake cottage in the summer where there were daily pontoon rides. Emmy loved polka dancinge, teaching Polish words to others, crocheting afghans, bingo & puzzles, singing in the choir and buying souvenir t-shirts. She was a great socializer and world traveler. Emerenc was a charter member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Past President of Przybylski America Legion #642 Auxiliary and a member of other organizations locally and in Florida. She enjoyed volunteering for many causes.

Emmy's Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Christ the King Church, arrangements by Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions suggested to Alzheimer's Association.
