As a young girl Evelyn lived in Waterford Township, Michigan. She attended Clarkston High School and married James E Seeterlin on May 10, 1947.
Jim and Evelyn raised 10 children, and were members of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Evelyn was a Laker Mom through and through. Seamstress of uniforms, lunch lady, bus driver and Sports Mom.
Evelyn was a staunch and dedicated Democrat, serving as Waterford Twp delegate for many years.
Upon Jim's retirement, they moved to Lost Lake Woods, in Lincoln, Michigan. They opened their house to family and friends for 22 years. Also, as avid travelers, they were able to travel to all 50 states, and went on numerous cruises. Evelyn was proud of the fact that she was able to visit the town of Reuth, Germany the home of her 2nd Great Grandfather Christian Heinrich Brendel.
Her golden years were spent reading her beloved books and making a beautiful home for the 10 children and grandchildren to visit.
Evelyn had a wonderful life and she will be greatly missed, but her spirit lives on as we all remember how special she was.
