Mr. Garry Eugene "Bean" Bennett, age 60, of Battletown, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY. Garry was born in Meade County on September 27, 1953, the son of Sherley E. "Cowboy" and Mildred Opal Jupin Bennett. Garry loved to ride horses.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peggy L. Hardesty Bennett; his brothers, Tim W. Bennett and Howard N. Bennett; his sister, Loetta F. Bennett Bishoff; and a special friend, Larry M. Humphrey. He is survived by two daughters, Betty Jo Bennett Davidson, Webster, KY, Bobbi Jo Bennett (Garland) Knott, Brandenburg, KY; one brother, Danny G. "Tank" (Mary) Bennett, Battletown, KY; and three sisters, Janet D. Bennett Bullock, Battletown, KY, Judy E. Bennett (David) Berry, Rineyville, KY, Beverly S. Bennett Jones, Brandenburg, KY; and four grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, from the Chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Stewart Skaggs and Nighthawk, officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin-Bennett Cemetery in Battletown, KY.
