Emily Hook-Taber, 74, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, July 1, 2013 in Neilson Place, Bemidji. Memorial Services are pending.

Emily Ruth Hook was born November 25, 1938 in Bemidji, MN to Emily (Evans) and Francis Hook. She lived most of her early life in Nymore attending Lincoln Elementary school. She moved with her family to Washington State for two years during WWII. The family moved back to Bemidji where she attended Bemidji High School.

She married Clayton Westrum. They were married for 25 years and together they had 4 children. They lived in Bemidji where she raised her family and worked at several businesses in Bemidji during that time.

She married Earl Taber in 1984. They owned and operated Taber's Bait until 2002 when they retired. She enjoyed playing bingo, karaoke, gardening, and she enjoyed socializing with her friends and family.

She is survived by sons, Tim Westrum and Lance Westrum both of Bemidji; daughters, Sandy (Joe) Hilti of Warroad and Tina (Shawn) Johnson of Bemidji; grandchildren, Marie and Katie Westrum, Nathan Smith and Zachary Hilti, Stephanie and Cody Westrum and Justin, Kayli and Shelby Erickson; great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Jasmine, Emma and Riley; 1 brother, David (Jan) Hook of Washington state.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brother, Vernon Hook and sisters, Lauren and Vivian.
